Boulder City is having a BBQ May 25th and 26th

Here's something that might be fun for your Memorial Day weekend. The Rotary is sponsoring a BBQ that sounds like a lot of food and fun :) If you don't care for BBQ they'll have hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes, kettle corn, drinks - water, soft drinks, beer, margaritas, and more. They are also having a car show

Henderson ArtFest was great!

Hope you were able to go to the Henderson ArtFest because if you didn't you missed a great time! We took Jim's mom for Mother's Day and had a wonderful time looking at both the fantastic art displayed by artists from all over the country. I wondered if it would be too hot but guess we got lucky because it was a perfect day in the sunshine. We love people watching and I spoted this little girl who was having the day of her life. I took a quick shot of her to share after getting an ok from mom and dad!

Race for The Cure lost lady!

The Race For the Cure was great fun this year but we did have a slight problem locating Jo! We had a crowd of over twenty thousand participants this year and it was inspiring to us all!

If you missed this race, try to catch the Las Vegas Marathon this December on the Strip!

Mother's Day Tradition- ArtFest of Henderson

It's time for the Henderson Art Festival

May 12th -13th Saturday & Sunday

If you’re trying to think of something fun to do for your mom, your spouse or someone special to you, try the Tenth Annual Henderson Art Festival.

This is a fun activity that the entire family will enjoy!

Last year they had a darling train for small children to ride and I think the adults enjoyed watching those smiling faces as much as the kids had riding!

They have some beautiful artwork of all kinds, plenty of food and great live entertainment to enjoy.

Jim and I have gone almost every year and it gets better each time! This year they are inviting over 200 local and national artists for mom to choose from. I bought a fantastic quilt the first year we went but always see tons of things I want.

The live music line up includes performances for both days to include jazz, rock, big band and Jimmy Buffet selections.

Art Festival May 5th and 6th at The District!!

Don't miss the art festival at "The District" in Henderson this weekend!

Jim and I went to this last year and it was really fun. They have live entertainment and if you have children, they have a cute art area for the kids. If you're not familiar with The District, it's a unique shopping area in Green Valley Ranch with lots of fun shops and numerous yummy restaurants. They have condos that look down on a brick lined and grassy walking areas and it's a nice change from the cement of most shopping!
